- STUN support
- Background support
The setting is optional and by default it is set to off. You can enable background mode in the settings however, if your iPhone does not support this mode, it will be turned off automatically.
When the "Run in Background" parameter is turned ON, we can continue talking even iMXFone enter in background.
Warning: iMXFone cannot receive incoming calls while is in background mode since iOS4 does not support background UDP. If your SIP server supports TCP connections you can try receiving incoming calls after turning on the "TCP" parameter available under the iMXFone settings.
A word of caution about battery drain. Any application which remains active in the background will draw on your battery. You should exercise caution and charge often and/or remove apps from the background whenever its convenient to do so.
- Display Name parameter (will be used for Caller ID display)
- Number Prefix parameter (prefix added to the dialed number)
- If your SIP server supports TCP connections you can try receiving incoming calls after turning on the "TCP" parameter available under the iMXFone settings.
Note (for TCP connections): The SIP server address/name and port number should be specified into the "Proxy Server" parameter
Ex: example.com:5070
Important: the SIP server registration timeout should be set to more then 600 seconds so the re-registration is properly performed while iMXFone is in background state!
